Grandslam Acquisition of 51B's
With an acquisition pool like this, I'd normally be celebrating. Well, I actually am celebrating. After my recent Whitey Ford addition, Ted Williams, Yogi Berra, and Duke Snider are the next toughest cards in the 51B set. Of course, Mantle and Mays are out of the question for me, but I have the next 4 toughest cards in the set. If you've been following along, another goal I set was to achieve over 50% of the set this month, which comes out to 162 out of 324 cards. Technically, I now have 165 in the set and so have achieved that goal. The problem is that a 12-card order I made arrived with the wrong cards. Can you believe that? Instead of 12 different 51B's, I received 1-57T, 3-63T's and 7-62T's. I contacted the seller on Ebay to notify him of the mistake yesterday evening, but so far nothing. Time ticks very slow when a problem like this appears, but I'm trying to be hopeful and patient for an adequate response. What would you do? I figure he sent my cards to someone else. As a seller on Ebay myself, I'd either send the right cards or refund the order if I no longer have the cards. Regarding the incorrect cards I'd either offer to pay return shipping or let the buyer keep the cards depending on their value. These are the solutions I'm hoping for. Since the seller offered tracking, Ebay doesn't let me claim that the item wasn't received. I don't want to request to return the item unless the seller offers to pay for the return shipping, so I just sent the seller an offline message before making an official request. At least that's how I'd like buyers to approach me with an issue. Although the 12 cards were mostly commons, the package did cost me $48.12 shipped--not a minor mistake to me. Anyway, here are some pics of my grandslam acquisition.
