Today's acquisition of 1963 Topps #467 Phil Ortega now brings me to within 39 cards of completing the 1963 Topps set. Now, I don't really expect to ever complete this set because I refuse to collect slabbed cards and Pete Rose RC is probably most counterfeited card in the 1960's. More interestingly, I achieved a new milestone in my 1960's collection today--catching up to my 1961 Topps set. I've been stuck at -39 cards for my 1961 Topps set for quite some time now and it seems that my 63T set will soon surpass my 61T set. Percentage-wise, at 39 missing cards for both sets, the 63T set is actually further along since the set has less cards (i.e 537/576 vs. 558/587). In another sense, I have more 61T's than I do 63T's. Before we entered into this era of hyper-inflation beginning around 2016, I never thought that my 63T set would ever catch up with 61T.
