1951 Bowman #200: Jack Kramer, New York Yankees, P

Jack Kramer entered his final season as a major league pitcher with the Giants in 1951, but was released in May, and then re-signed with the Yankees about a week later.  Kramer made his only World Series appearance with the Browns in 1944, where he spent most of his career beginning in 1939.  He was a big contributor to the Browns' hopes of staying alive against the Cardinals by pitching 11 innings of 2 games with a 0.00 ERA, 12 K's, and a complete game for a 1-0 record.  Kramer was an All-Star during two consecutive seasons between 1946-1947, and led the league in Win Pct. in 1948 with an 18-5 record.      ...
