1933 Goudey #102: Travis Jackson, New York Giants, SS

After 12 years on the Hall of Fame ballot between 1948-1962, Travis Jackson was finally selected for induction by the Veteran's Committee in 1982.  Jackson's 15-year career spanned from 1922-1936--all with the New York Giants.  He was involved in 4 World Series (1923, 1924, 1933, 1936), finally getting a ring in 1933.  Jackson scored 3 Runs and hit 2 RBI in the 5-game series.  He was selected to the 2nd-ever All-Star game the following year in 1934.

Here's a page from my '33G binder depicting T.Jackson with some of his teammates.
